Overview
Supporting imID in its mission of creating a new culture of digital trust in Armenia, advancing internationally aligned solutions, and enabling secure, user-centric identity services for citizens, businesses, and institutions, SPRING PR — once again trusted with imID’s strategic communications — led the communications behind one of the country’s key digital transformation milestones.
October 2 marked the official launch of a strategic partnership between imID, Armenia’s trust service provider, and SK ID Solutions, a leading European trust service provider operating in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Iceland, and Belgium. The cooperation was formalized with the signing of an agreement and a joint press conference hosted at imID’s headquarters in Yerevan․
Through this collaboration, imID will adapt and localize SK ID Solutions’ internationally proven split-key technology within Armenia’s advanced technical infrastructure to launch the imID Digital ID App — a next-generation solution designed to provide citizens, businesses, and public institutions with secure identity verification, legally binding electronic signatures, and seamless access to the digital economy.
The partnership with SK ID Solutions carries particular weight given the company’s global credibility. Founded in 2001, SK ID Solutions is a leading European trust service provider and the creator of Smart-ID, one of Europe’s most widely used digital identity tools with more than four million users.
The cooperation officially kicked off with the signing ceremony and press conference, followed by a Q&A session with the media and a tour of the imID office. With this agreement, imID reinforces its mission to empower citizens and institutions with trusted digital services, while Armenia takes a significant step toward becoming a regional leader in digital identity and trust solutions.
Within the framework of the partnership launch, SK ID Solutions’ executive delegation had a two-day visit to Yerevan, during which SPRING PR provided full strategic communications support. The program included high-level institutional meetings, most notably at the Central Bank of Armenia with Governor Martin Galstyan, Deputy Governor Armen Nurbekyan, and representatives of the Information Systems Agency of Armenia (ISAA), focusing on the partnership’s role in strengthening Armenia’s financial infrastructure, compliance mechanisms, and wider digital transformation efforts.

Strategy
SPRING PR’s strategy centered on positioning the imID–SK ID Solutions partnership as a landmark initiative in Armenia’s digital transformation, ensuring that the launch and all surrounding engagements communicated a unified, compelling narrative. The approach aimed to articulate imID’s vision of creating a new digital culture of trust and to present the partnership with SK ID Solutions as a strategic leap that would introduce internationally proven digital identity technologies and lay the groundwork for Armenia’s next-generation Digital ID App.
The strategic foundation began with the development of a comprehensive communications framework for the two-day working visit. SPRING PR shaped the full agenda of the partnership launch, structuring the sequence of meetings and public interactions to reinforce the key themes of technological advancement, institutional cooperation, and international alignment.
Central to this preparation was the creation of high-level messaging frameworks and tailored talking points for all imID and SK ID Solutions representatives. These guided their public speeches, executive remarks, and institutional discussions, ensuring consistency in tone, accuracy in content, and alignment with Armenia’s broader digitalization priorities. These materials articulated not only the essence of the partnership, but also its long-term outcomes — including the rollout of the imID Digital ID App, enhanced trust service capabilities, and Armenia’s strengthened position within the international digital ecosystem.
Media relations formed a central and high-intensity pillar of the communication strategy. In the weeks leading up to the launch, SPRING PR conducted extensive outreach to Armenia’s leading media outlets, coordinated all communication flows, and equipped journalists with the contextual and technical background needed for accurate, informed reporting. During the Partnership Launch Event and press conference, SPRING PR oversaw the entire media environment — managing on-site media relations, coordinating interview schedules, facilitating direct engagement with key speakers, and supervising the complete information flow before, during, and after the event. This comprehensive coordination ensured narrative cohesion across all interactions and secured broad, high-quality coverage that reflected the partnership’s national significance and strategic impact.
Beyond the launch event, the strategic communication narrative extended into institutional engagements, including high-level meetings at the Central Bank of Armenia. SPRING PR prepared tailored communication lines for these meetings, highlighting how the partnership contributes to strengthening Armenia’s financial infrastructure, enhancing compliance mechanisms, and advancing national digitalization priorities.
