Overview

SPRING PR has been the PR partner of Firebird, a U.S.-based AI cloud infrastructure provider, supporting the company’s strategic communications and media relations in Armenia. As part of this collaboration, SPRING PR served as the strategic PR partner for the official launch of the region’s largest AI Factory in Hrazdan, Armenia, on August 8, 2026.

Firebird officially launched the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region’s largest AI Factory in Hrazdan, Armenia, marking the operational debut of a multi-billion-dollar global computing platform.

The facility, powered by Nvidia Corp’s accelerated computing, networking, and software stack, represents one of the largest AI infrastructure undertakings in Europe and frontier markets.

Built using the Nvidia DSX platform alongside Dell Technologies’ PowerEdge servers, the plant is designed to power large-scale AI training, fine-tuning, and inference workloads.

The operational launch signals a strategic push by global hardware and cloud providers to establish high-density AI infrastructure outside traditional Western data center hubs.

By embedding state-of-the-art chipsets in the South Caucasus, the project aims to tap regional energy capacity, bypass power grid bottlenecks facing Western markets, and establish Armenia as an emerging technological crossroads connecting regional and international developers.

Firebird’s flagship Armenian site begins operations with a phase powered by Nvidia B200 Blackwell GPUs, but the company has outlined an ambitious roadmap to scale its footprint significantly.

The opening ceremony drew high-level political and industry representation, including Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Zhaslan Madiyev, and U.S. diplomats, underscoring the diplomatic weight behind the project.

Nvidia also intends to make a direct investment in Firebird, joining existing strategic backers including CoreWeave.

The Armenia facility will reserve a portion of its compute to foster local Armenian AI startups, university research, and government initiatives, while opening up to 90% of its total capacity to U.S. and global enterprises, including early customers like search engine maker Perplexity.

Strategy

SPRING PR led the strategic communications and media relations for the Firebird AI Factory launch, managing engagement with local, diaspora, and international media, as well as coordinating communications with government institutions, global technology partners, and key stakeholders.

SPRING PR also oversaw media accreditation, on-site media coordination, and overall PR consultancy to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication throughout the launch.

A key focus of the strategy was international media outreach, positioning Firebird’s milestone within the global AI infrastructure landscape. Through targeted distribution and engagement with leading international business, financial, and technology media, the announcement gained visibility across major platforms, including Yahoo! The international media campaign generated 200+ media pickups and a potential audience reach of over 79.2 million. In Armenia, the launch received coverage across 50+ major media outlets, including leading television channels, news agencies, and digital platforms.

Through coordinated strategic communications, SPRING PR contributed to positioning the Firebird AI Factory launch as a major milestone for Armenia’s technology sector, while strengthening Firebird’s international visibility and reinforcing Armenia’s emerging role in the global AI infrastructure ecosystem.
