Overview
SPRING PR provided strategic communications and full PR support for the official visit of Yevgeny (Eugene) Kaspersky, Founder and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, to Armenia. The visit focused on cybersecurity, digital development and information security education, bringing together representatives of the media, academic institutions, business community and public sector.
As part of the programme, Eugene Kaspersky held a meeting with journalists and bloggers at the State Engineering University of Armenia, where he presented the evolution of cyber threats, outlining seven key levels of cybersecurity risks and the development of protection mechanisms — from early technical solutions to discussions on international control over cyber weapons. During the visit, Eugene Kaspersky was also awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of the State Engineering University of Armenia, recognising his contribution to global information security and technological innovation.

Strategy
SPRING PR led the strategic communications and media relations surrounding Eugene Kaspersky’s visit, ensuring clear positioning, structured messaging and wide professional visibility across leading national platforms.
The agency organised and implemented a dedicated press conference, as well as a formal presentation by Eugene Kaspersky for journalists and bloggers, focusing on global cybersecurity trends, emerging digital threats and mechanisms for international cooperation in cyber defence. SPRING PR coordinated targeted outreach to leading media outlets, technology platforms and opinion leaders, ensuring accurate representation of both the visit’s agenda and its broader significance.
A key component of the strategy was the coordination of professional interviews with Eugene Kaspersky, facilitating direct engagement with media and enabling in-depth discussion on cybersecurity, education and digital transformation. SPRING PR managed on-site media relations, overseeing journalist access, information flow and real-time communication throughout the events.
In parallel, SPRING PR ensured that the visit’s communications highlighted the broader institutional context of the cooperation, including the “Secure Armenia” memorandum signed between Kaspersky Lab and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, which outlines joint efforts in cybersecurity infrastructure, education and capacity building. This framing reinforced the strategic importance of the visit beyond a single event and positioned it within Armenia’s long-term digital development agenda.
Post-event, SPRING PR continued the communication cycle through structured follow-up outreach, coordination of approved materials and monitoring of media coverage. This approach ensured sustained visibility for the visit, reinforced the positioning of cybersecurity as a national priority and strengthened public awareness of Armenia’s engagement with global technology leaders.
